If I switch content between two pages, would it hurt my SEO?

  If I wanted to take the content from two pages and switch them, would it hurt my SEO?  ;
  
  Basically, I've gotta homepage and about page that I realized should be switched.  ;I don't wanna get dinged for duplicate content or some craziness like that, so I'm wondering how to approach this.  ;Or does it even matter how I do it?

  Jim Munro: I am not an expert, Chris, but I wouldn't be concerned about duplicate content or SEO impacts. If it makes sense for your readers to be able to see the contents of both pages on both pages or selective edits on both, you should go ahead and do it.
