Drive traffic to the main website using other domains

Hi,

I would like your opinion on the following:

We have a large company website and we own about 50 domain names which have some of the major keywords that we would like to rank for in them.

How could we use those domains to drive more traffic to the main website or give an impluse to our business.

Some scenario`s ;

A. 301 them all to the main domain.
Advantage : if any have links to them they will add up to enforce the main domain.
Drawback: If they have bad links they could destroy the main domain.

B. Make them Parked , with little text on them and a link to the appropriate page on the main domain.
Advantage: Links to the main domain
Disadvantage: seen as link-ring , doorwaypages and destroying the main domain.
But a late 2012 Video from Matt Cutts: leaves room to do so: http://seohour.com/news/parked-domain-seo-google/
Please watch: Should I keep a domain parked without content before I launch the website?
in which he advices to put some alinea`s of text on a parked domain.

C. Make 50 realy infomative pages on the 50 extra domains, and link them to the main domain.  ( Partly follow, partly nofollow perhaps?)

D. Make 50 Micro sites with good content  addressing the main keyword of the domain and linking to the main domain.

E. Make 4 or 5 micro-sites with 3-5 pages  linking to the main domain,   and  301 the other 45  domains to these micro-sites. (avoiding direct linking by possible penalised /downgraded domains to the main domain.)

F. Doing  noting with them, which seems to be a waste of money , and opportunities.

Kind regards,
B A

  • Daniel Lloyd Barrett: I would rather create 50 new pages on the main website optimised for the the keywords you are targeting, then try to get some quality back links to them.
This would be quicker, easier and a no risk option. The extra content will also help to boost the visibility of the main domain.
I have tried most of the scenarios above and the gains were only temporary and eventually caused more problems.
