Does anyone know how to add a hyperlink on an image in gmail?

Does anyone know how to add a hyperlink on an image in gmail?

The goal is to A.B test what version of the email yields the most clicks back to the website. I know how to insert a URL and an Image but I want the image to be where they can click on to then go to my site

Any ideas? I have been messing around for the last hour and figured someone probably knows how to do this

Thanks!

-Greg?

  • Benjamin Cullen: What platform are you using?
  • Greg Kristan: +Benjamin Cullen GMail
  • Dave Elliott: you can add image links via your signature in gmail settings but i don't think you can add a link to images in the body of your gmail messages anymore.(it used to be an option in settings->labs but i cant see it)

I'd use mailchimp if i were you. They have a free plan for under 2000 sends(i think its 2k anyway) and is a lot more flexible. Gmail really isn't designed for bulk sends.
