Dumb SEO Questions

Does it matter that there are 3 links from a page going to one post?

I`m working on a template for WordPress that lists blog posts. For each post it has 3 potential spots for a link to the post. (The featured image thumbnail, the post title, and the "read more about xyz" link). Based on the nature of the design it kind if needs all 3 of those to be links from a UX perspective and I can`t wrap all of those elements into a single link. My question is, from an SEO perspective does it matter that there are 3 links from a page going to one post? Should 2 of the 3 be nofollow?

  • Tom Gooden: Here is kind of a crude illustration for context. Everything in black is a link to the post. (with the black box being the post`s featured image)
  • Jeremy L. Knauff: No. Doesn’t matter from an SEO perspective. However, you could wrap the whole thing in a span and wrap a single link around that.
