Dealing with bad reviews.

Hello,

One of my client has an issue.  His competitor has tried to post bad reviews which shows above his link on Google.  How can I pull those bad reviews back to page 3 or 4 so that link of my client`s website shows before those bad reviews.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

  • Ranu Jain: You can use the "Flag as inappropriate" link next to a review to report it as inappropriate. ;

    The other way could be is to crowd them out with positive content. One or two negative reviews among twenty-twentyfive is to be expected. ;
  • Nishant Desai: +Ranu Jain ; Thanks for the advise.  ;Actually it is not a review but a post on one of the reputed blog post.
  • Ranu Jain: Ok so the easiest and fastest way is to directly contact to the webmaster of that blog. You can request to remove it but make sure that you give a solid reason to remove it.
  • Nishant Desai: Thanks +Ranu Jain ;
  • Niel Modi: you can do this
    try to do post positive articles, content, posts , optimize the keywords related to their name and follow this thing
    forums, blogs, article submission sites ,news submission sites having High in Ranking and then post at these with new and informative content that visitors wants with a link pointing back to your client.
    All those forums, blogs, etc should be according to your site. then the maximum no. of links on search of his name will be according to this post
  • Nishant Desai: Thanks +Niel Modi ; Appreciate your detailed response..!
  • Niel Modi: You are welcome

  • Aaron Watters: The first thing I would do is make sure your client has social profiles on high ranking social sites. Get the client on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest and yes..even Myspace. ;

    After you fill out his social profiles send a few links to his social profiles using his name as the anchor text to each of your profile pages.

    While it may not be precisely positive content, you should be able to bump some of their social profiles above these negative review sites....at least that is what I would do.
  • Nishant Desai: Thanks +Aaron Watters ;
  • June M: You may also encourage client to pro-actively build "real" positive testimonials and reviews from their clients.. Aka in their thank you emails or news letters ; send out " let us know how we are doing" ; or even incorporating a review/testimonial svc. ; key here is creditable real testimonials... this will help. ;

    Work to increase "clients" engagement on their social networks.... so these elements rank above the aforementioned reviews......

    good luck.... it takes effort & time but in the end it is a positive asset and crm for clients as well...
  • Nishant Desai: Thanks +June M ;
