A technical question about how it treats images for SEO

Hey, Everyone! Hope all is well. A quick question...I am using SEO Plugin by Yoast and I keep getting a "No images appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate, " message. I`ve done the research, and I know this is a "Gallery Recognition Issue" with Yost, but my concern is that my images will not be "recogizable" by search engins. I read a post where the developer used an "ugly" workaround: "Insert your IMG ALT text AFTER the shortcode but BEFORE the closing tags, like so... lightbox group="photos1" info="true" link="http://mysite/piccy1.jpg"image src="http://mysite/piccy1.jpg"/image/lightbox"

This only happens when the shortcodes are pulling the images from the gallery, not when I insert an image directly into a post.

Any thoughts on this?
