Need SEO advice about how to deal with multi language site

I have a blog and I post my hindi poems on that. I planned to give English translation of the already posted poems and and meanings of difficult hindi words.

Now 2 questions come in my mind:

1. Should I create a new post with translation and word meanings and link it to the previous post?

2. Or I should go to the published post and add the new content in the post?

I am asking this keeping in my mind that google love websites regularly updated with new contents. New post or updates in content- which will be taken as new content and make googlebot visit the site?
