I found a whole list of of unsavoury links, how to get rid of them?

BAD LINKS
On checking my Hostagator Cpanel under this heading
links from an external page (other web sites except search engines) 
I found a whole list of of unsavoury links. 
I have no idea how they got there but I am pretty sure they don’t help a children’s story site.
Does anyone know how to get rid of them please?
Or is there an article I could read to learn more about them I am particularly eager to learn how they got there in the first place.?
