Would it be a problem if I simply copy+pasted it?

So I wanted to keep a mini section of say 500ish words at the bottom of most of my info articles where I`d lead the reader to the sales page. Now if I simply copy+pasted this section, would that be a problem?

  • Stockbridge Truslow: Stephen is correct - that it won`t be a problem... but here is a trick you can use to actually help make it clear to Google so it doesn`t get confused...

Wrap your CTA block inside a pair of tags.

e.g.: Here is the repeated CTA content and the button that appears on every single page.

This signals to Google that it is an "aside" - it`s on the page, but it`s not truly part of the content or what makes the page important and unique.

I screenshotted and inputted the comment in a checklist. XD

  • Stockbridge Truslow: It`s less brilliant and more just following proper web standards. You`d be surprised how many times just doing things the way they are supposed to be done actually helps with all sorts of things - like SEO.

  • Greg Gifford: First - there is no penalty for duplicate content

Second - why would you EVER need a 500 word CTA?

    3d
  • El Bikito: Greg Gifford That was just a random number. Obviously it wouldn`t be anything longer than 150 words max.
