  I am in the process of making rich snippet markups on my reviews on my products. So each review is marked up and not only a total count.
  
  On several products i have the same general review from the same users.
  
  My worry is now if this gets penalized as "duplicate content" or fake reviews when they are not unique for every product?

  Tony “Tiggerito” McCreath: I'd avoid doing that. The rich snippet system does check for people trying to game Google and repeating the same review may raise a flag.

  Neeraj Pandey: Reviews are used as the feedback of customers for specific product. How can you use the same review on two different pages?? do you think this is relevant if yes then how?? Reviews are the words of the customers that helps buyers making decision so be very clear on them....
  Dont use same review on two different product ;pages, Dont use fake reviews. dont make duplicate reviews issue or you may face manual action.
  Furthermore..... Reviews are the snippet that makes your website search result presence better that makes you get notified and it doesnt have any direct impact on Ranking...

  Ronni Hansen: My rating system is/ where a mix of product reviews and side wide company views. Thats why they where shown on more products.
  So it where not fake reviews.
  
  You confirmed my thoughts, so i have cleaned up in the reviews so they are unique for every products.
