Renaming the domai

Hey guys thanks for allowing, just about anyone to join this group.
I have a question and I hope it`s okay to ask straight away.
My website is currently at amlcandlesdotcodotuk what I would wondering is. whether to rename the domain to anne-makes-lovely-candles or annemakeslovelycandles. I would imagine there are arguments to both sides, like with dashes is harder to remember, or as one word it will not be used on page. I already write it as Anne Makes Lovely Candles throughout the store and my shopping cart makes an (S.E.O) page title of anne-makes-lovely-candlesdotcodotuk, but it`s not my domain name. I have a quandary? What to do? I am trying my best to make as good a job as possible to rank well and don`t know which to choose.

Please help Billy

    Please help Billy ;
  • Edwin Jonk: +Billy Boyle ;we ask to disable links. For example you can disable a link by substituting a point for (dot) like amlcandles(dot)co(dot)uk/

    P.S. please disable the link in the link box too

    Thanks in advance.
  • Billy Boyle: +Edwin Jonk ; sorry will fix it right away
  • Tony “Tiggerito” McCreath: I'd personally leave it as is. It's shorter, easy to say/remember and includes the main keyword. ;

    Changing domain always comes with some risk. At a minimum you will be adding a redirect to your incoming traffic which would lose some PageRank. And you will lose social votes from systems that do not handle redirects.

    You can still buy the others so people can type them in or for use on brochures, but redirect them all to the one domain so all online use is on that one domain.
  • Dave Elliott: Basically what tony said. Changing your domain is not something to be taken lightly.

  • Steve Counsell: Hey +Billy Boyle ;
    If you're looking to leverage the domain name for SEO purposes then you're probably wasting your time and money.

    My view is that no one is searching for "anne makes lovely candles" or anything like it.

    Leave it as it is :)
  • Billy Boyle: Thanks for the replies, has cleared things up, a little.
