Yes, it can help you to get into the onebox for local results [1].

No, it does not affect organic results. But it does affect vertical search blended into the organic result (universal search) [2].

Egor Shvecov: +Edwin Jonk Yes, I need it for local company. I see that g+ business is showing for our competitors. But not for us. I just don't know what else to do to make our page to appear in search results.

Everything seems to be equal between us and competotors. Number of subscribers, reviews. Except their page is older.
