  francesca bandini: Google.ru and Yandex: I am doing some research about Russia. I have just started so I was wondering if someone could help.
  It seems that it is not possible to rank orgnically in the Russian Serp for the afore mentioned Search Engines, without employing a local (Russian) SEO firm. Is it true? Any experience? Thanks.

  Martino Mosna: You certainly need a native Russian speaker who is also capable of doing keyword research, microcopy (for titles and descriptions) and website architecture revision.

Nevertheless the company already has a native speaker, That it is why the reason behind the suggestion of employing a Russian SEO company makes me wonder. This suggestion is quite widespread on the Internet. I was wondering also if there is some polytical reason behind it. Unfortunately I 've just approached the market so I needed a hint.

  Could be in house, of course... But some knowledge about SEO is needed nevertheless.

  francesca bandini: +Martino Mosna +Dave Elliott Obviously, that was taken for granted. That all the "STANDARD on Site SEO" was carried out. That it is why I am wondering that there shall be something else perhaps. Or perhaps they are nly myths.

  Martino Mosna: +francesca bandini​ i guess that's because an in house SEO that's also fluent in russian is not that common. Outsourcing to a Russian SEO firm is just the quickest way to do the job.
