  • Madalen Ross: I've been getting mixed messages about PBN's, as to whether they're good or bad for SEO. Have read Google has been de-indexing private blog networks. ; ; What are your thoughts?
  • Jim Munro: Hi +Madalen Ross ;, thank you for your participation here.

A private blog network is an artificial construct. I am not an expert but it is generally agreed that anything devised to game the index usually ends in tears.

Google has made significant advances in the last few years. For example I have been watching the outcomes of 3K sites that were pharmahacked and I'd describe what I've seen in the past six to twelve months as "surgical". :)
  • Madalen Ross: I tend to agree, yet 'experts' are still saying it works.. confusing.
  • Suraj Gadage: +Madalen Ross ;I completely agree with +Jim Munro ;Google is very smart to figure things out. So don' t get yourself into the game of PBNs. Experts saying it works??? Hard to believe.
  • Madalen Ross: Not hard to believe at all. ; Especially if they have a product to sell.
  • Dave Elliott: Blog networks BAD, very very BAD! You might get a temporary boost, but you will be hit eventually and it would be a lot of work to keep up with it. Black hat world might disagree but they are idiots, very knowledgeable and clever idiots!
