Menu links or content links?

Internal Pages links in Menu or in page as internal links with proper anchor text

What is of more value in view of user experience and search engine optimization? I show only categories in menu and the individual post can be reached after 2 clicks- 1. Category 2. Post. Or Visitors can go to a post by clicking hyperlinked anchor-texts in the posts.

But I feel it may loss some visits for individual post on drop-downs in Menu.

What is the best practices?

Marta Gryszko: I would definietly display some of the latest posts on the homepage. Users could get faster to them and Googlebot could index them and give them more link juice as usually the homepage is the strongest one. It's important especially in case you publish some news and you need some boost at the beginning.
