How many times should i reiterate keywords on a single page?

From what I understand, Google is penalizing for duplicate content. How many times should i reiterate keywords on a single page? Is there a place to see what the latest Google bot is looking for? Thanks in advance

  • Richard Hearne: >> Google is penalizing for duplicate content. That`s incorrect. They filter for duplicate content.
  • Mike Marzano: Also, it`s usually one page identical to another - what you described sound more like `keyword stuffing` / over optimization (using keywords so many times it starts to look like you just want to speak to Google bots and not your human readers)
  • Ryan L`Ecuyer: Great thank you. I`m trying to understand the basics as we launch our new redesigned webpage. We have a firm handling the content of the new launch, but I think its important to stay fresh and relevant...learning how to do that. Thnx
  • Mike Marzano: Ryan L`Ecuyer general trend is that as Google becomes better at programmatically detecting `unnatural` content / linkbuilding you need to worry less about SEO and just focus on serving your visitors as best you can (fulfill their needs). But of course bear in mind Google runs an algorithm, it`s not perfect and it needs alot of clarity about what your content is `about` and who it`s intended for. Start from the search term (that your visitors would use) and try to make pages that perfectly match / serve each distinct search term or group of related terms.
