URL Structure for Multi-language website

Hi All,
My client has a site that`s covering US and Canada - Canadian English and Canadian French. They have structured their site as such: https://client.com/us/en/index.snc https://client.com/ca/en/index.snc https://client.com/ca/fr/index.snc It defaults to these. I cannot land on "https://client.com" as it will redirect to the top one. and because of this, I cannot verify it in GSC via GA. My question are:
-- What is ".snc"
-- Why would they have done this?
-- Is there any benefit to doing it like this?
-- Should they have used the "https://client.com" as the US version, and then had regular subfolders for the other 2 ? thank you !Lihat Terjemahan
