  So we are new to the "online" community! We don't sell anything we are actually just trying to attract dealers or sellers to contact us...
  
  So we're focused on building a good reputation online to be "seen". We are getting a lot of SEO tips and wondering if someone could briefly tell us how keyword works?
  Do we actually have to assign keywords to Google?

  Amit Kumar: Keywords are query, which you put on Google or any search engine to get the result. So keywords should be related to your services which you are offering, so if people search on Google and their query is related to your services then your website should come in the top result then the people go to your web site.

  Dave Elliott: Very basically. If there are words or phrases that you feel your users will be searching for to find your site via a search engine then these should be used in your page titles and content. The more likely they are to use these phrases the more prominence these keywords should be given on your site.
  
  Google adwords keyword planner is your first tool to find out how much search volume a paticular keyword has.
