  • roman raihan: thanks....:)
  • Ashish Ahuja: no follow will not stop google from going to the link. The best way would be to redirect using a sub-directory and banning google bot to that directory using htaccess.
  • Ashish Ahuja: robots.txt is also not effective every time if any external website is linking to that direct page. I have seen links with noindex nofollow and robots.txt blocked still showing up in google index

    i think i should use htaccess. For curiosity ; ; if ; use http://bit.ly/1cOvHnU the short from the main affiliate link and disallow bit.ly in robots.txt is it problem?
  • Ashish Ahuja: +roman raihan google can still follow through to bit.ly and see the link. Tip: how do you think twitter is able to see the destination link and apply its own shortening service sometimes
  • roman raihan: thanks... i got .htaccess is the comparetavielly better between other think.
  • Jeff Smith: structure your URLs to be able to disallow them via robots.txt. Add rel nofollow for extra measure. You will be fine. ;
