  Joseph Asamoah: Hello Guys I am desperate ...I am working on a brand new website for a client and everything seemed fine until I checked my keyword rankings a few hours later and I nearly fainted! My off page strategy was very white hat and am surprised this happened to me...I have attached a link to the rankings table before and after I got nuked.advice on how I can get my rankings back asap will be helpful.Cheers.

  Andrei Gherghel: Wait a couple more days. It could be a temporary drop. You may also take into consideration that google is rolling Panda 4 these days and there might be some on page factors which the algo doesn't like.

  Alistair Lattimore: After a 5 minute investigation Joseph, I don't see anything wrong. You're not blocking Googlebot via robots.txt, you haven't accidentally meta noindex the content, your rel=canonical tags are missing but not pointing to incorrect URLs, Google have crawled the site (~20 URLs indexed), I can see the content on a given URL via a cache:url query in Google.
  
  You might find this is just the honeymoon period of a new site coming to an end and now you need to work through the ongoing optimisation (on/off site) to progressively build the rankings for the site over time.

  Joseph Asamoah: Actually never knew this "honeymoon" period (Google Dance) existed until you mentioned it and I did some more research on it. I think the rule is never get carried away with a new site (new bride) . I was thinking it might be Panda as I felt some of the pages (especially the homepage is a bit thin) on content hence I was/am going to ask the owner to enrich it. But thanks once again.

  Other thoughts:
  
  Looking at the terms in your tracker, when i did an insite search with "inventory clerk clapham" , I cant actually find this on the site, service. I am not talking about keyword stuffing, you only service 4 areas, so i would have service pages for these.
  
  Content is a very thin on the site, as you acknowledge above. I dont like the services pages where you show pdf, personally that would make some cracking content on page, then offer it as a downloadable pdf.

  The Prices, i would also have them on Page - Create a page and have sections for each 1, 2, 3 4  ;bedroom - these can also be markup with schema ;

  Alistair Lattimore: Google can index the content of a PDF but you really want that content and more in HTML format if possible, its a better user experience from the search results to land on a page that they can take an immediate action from - ie submit a form etc.

  The point i was trying to get across, was that people go to the services page, click sample and get a pdf - where they would have to leave, go back to a site page to contact you, fill in a form, look at another page
