Google search tips & tricks.

Hey guys another quick one , it seems I am getting back on the Google + bandwagon, I wanted to see what sort of Google search tricks people use. I`m sure there are tons out there and I wanted to create a list for personal use and so other people can relate to it. Example of search tricks are :

link:example.com
related:example.com?
This question begins at 00:47:06 into the clip. Did this video clip play correctly? Watch this question on YouTube commencing at 00:47:06
Video would not load
I see YouTube error message
I see static

  • ?ukasz Rogala: using link:example.com is sooo outdated. :)
  • Dave Elliott: big fan of intitle:"keyword" e.g ;intitle:"Dave is awesome"
  • Federico Sasso: the ones I use most are inurl:, intitle:, and site: (this last one often with wildcard *)
  • Dave Elliott: site: is awesome. Recently discovered you can use for example site:guardian.co.uk seo in google alerts, which makes it really powerful!
  • ?ukasz Rogala: Google Alerts still working??? :D
  • Dave Elliott: i'm having to get a lot more specific with it, but yeah just about! certainly wouldn't use it for general terms/keywords but company name alerts and with the site search thingy it works pretty nicely still.
  • Gregory Kristan: I like putting keywords in quotes with the (~) symbol to show words that are similar ;
  • kalpesh makwana: intitle:"guest blog" inurl:"submit" like this
