  • Kenneth Villegas: Thanks for your help + ;but can I use the same href lang code like this:

    <link rel="alternate" href="" hreflang="au" /> ;
    <link rel="alternate" href="" hreflang="uk" /> ;
    <link rel="alternate" href="" hreflang="fr" /> ;

  • Kenneth Villegas: Also, how can I setup this in Google Webmaster Tools?
  • Lukasz Rogala: If you want to generate the correct hreflang tags use this tool by +

    In Google Webmaster Tools you can select correct country targetting doing things listed here: ;
  • Kenneth Villegas: Should I add all the sites in Google Webmaster tools? or the main site only which is ?
  • Kenneth Villegas: i will add the href lang to all versions of the site right?
  • Lukasz Rogala: Yes. Each language version should contain correct hreflangs. So if you have for example de, ch, pl, us, uk versions of site each version should contain code which you will generate.

    Also please remember that hreflang attribute is relative so you have to generate it for each subpage and it's language version.
  • Kenneth Villegas: so i will add href lang also for each subpages?
  • Kenneth Villegas: how about Google Webmaster Tools? Is it necessary adding all the language versions of the site in GWT?or the main site only, which is ?
  • Lukasz Rogala: Yes. Just gather all the versions of each subpage and generate hreflangs for them too. If you want to check if you did it right - send me on email: lukasz@rogala.pro.
