  • Harry Dance: Hi +Alex McIl ; rich snippets can be added to images, there are a few way to assign them but probably the easiest way is using webmaster tools.  ;

    I can't truthfully say the impact it will have on your SEO efforts.  ;But it will help define your website to Google so in theory this should have a positive influence on the website as a whole. ;

    Drop me a message if you need any more help . Good luck
  • Corey Alderin: Would this have to be done every time you add an image, or is there a way to set it up to do it automatically? I use WP and feature a new image every day so it would be a lot of manual work if I had to do this for every image. thanks +Harry Dance
  • Alex McIl: +Harry Dance
    Thanks for this Harry.
    Of course I do not expect Google to suddenly rank my site just because I add snippets, but having said that, making a continual effort to help Google on all aspects will help overall.

    Thanks once again.
  • Corey Alderin: +Alex McIl , how did you add the snippets? Thanks
  • Harry Dance: I was about to write a post on rich snippets (i.e Schema s) but I just found a brilliant one you guys may be interested in ;https://econsultancy(dot)com/blog/64778-what-is-schema-markup-and-why-should-you-be-using-it#i.vd8g6b5nffjuyh

    If i do write one I will try and cater to your guys questions if this doesn't answer them. However regarding WP +Corey Alderin ;yoiu would have to do it every time, however I know there are plently of plugins out there which make it very very easy!

    +Alex McIl ;I know what you mean, i am currently in the slow and steady process of making my companies website as attractive to Google as possible and to be honest it will never be perfect but it's great to experiment with schemas etc. Maybe just add it to a few pages which get a continuous high level of traffic and monitor them over a few months and see the difference.

    Good luck any way
  • Alex McIl: +Harry Dance Thank you very much Harry for taking the time to write that reply and provide a link to Rich Snippets. I will take your advice on experimenting on them on pages that get the most traffic.
    However, for me, I am not sure where to locate the exact snippet code specifically for images.
