  Tyler Groskreutz: The CMS is going to be largely irrelevant. All of them can be seo friendly, but it is going to come down to personal preference in using the backend. If you choose WordPress, I don't recommend suddenly jumping to Joomla or Drupal.

  Craig Griffiths: Wordpress is simple and has a bucket load of themes. There is also a plugin called Yoast that will help with the SEO. Remember pages rank, not an entire site so you need to produce content. Google want relevant content. They are constantly changing their algorithm to filter out tricks. Good regular content is king.
