Two pages are competing each other

2 pages for a beauty e-shop. #1 one normal catalog page for beauty products(make up etc) and #2 one landing page for the same catalog page that`s have nice images, buttons etc. The pages are competing each other. What the proper way to handle this issue. Most of the times the normal catalog page outranks and has higher CTR than the landing page.
