  • Jane Phelps: I would not touch them unless you get a message in GSC. Many of our clients have some "toxic links" but we just leave them alone until Google says something.
  • Paul Taubman: Thanks, Jane. Where in GSC will it show which specific links to disavow?
  • Jane Phelps: Paul Taubman You don`t. Typically, you would get a message in GSC that states you have unnatural links. Then you can start the disavow process. Until then, I would leave them alone.
  • Paul Taubman: OK - that is why I can`t find it :-) I appreciate the info.
  • Jane Phelps: Paul Taubman You can`t find it because you don`t have one. That is the point. Leave these alone unless you have a message from Google that your backlinks are unnatural. So, no action is needed.
  • Daria Sherr: Hi Paul Taubman! Daria from SEMrush. We can have a closer look to this Backlink Audit campaign and tell you why the links are marked as toxic if you could DM me the link to your report. Thanks in advance! 🙌
  • Jane Phelps: I love that SEMRush is here. We use you as well as BrightEdge and Screaming Frog!
  • Paul Taubman: Thanks, Daria - I will DM you.
