The dangers of buying SEO Gigs On 5-er.

What are the dangers of buying SEO Gigs On 5-er. For example one guy is offering: "I Will Provide 70 PR9 Do Follow Backlinks for cheap" . Will Google de-index my site when a flood of quality backlinks suddenly appear aimed at my crappy site which has almost zero backlinks? Wouldn`t the drip method work better?

  • Nick Wilsdon: So to be specific about the dangers, I`d be more concerned about the flood of poor quality links to my site, than the rate in which I got them
  • Jason Hennessey: Great strategy to get the current # 1 site out of the way ;)
  • Nick Wilsdon: Sorry - I`ll be clearer. Stay away from 5-er. You will regret it.
  • Ted Rinshed: Can anyone please post more pictures?
  • Jim Munro: Consider that SEO on a single site can be as big as you want to make the task, maybe involving hundreds of man-hours of intensive analysis and rectification. Then consider that someone is offering to do it all for you for next to nothing. What could go wrong on the path to hell?
  • Ammon Johns: If anyone is still using TbPR as a metric for links, when the Toolbar in question has been deprecated and broken for some years, that tells you all you ever need know about what their knowledge of SEO is.
