Strategy for SEO when dealing with a Real Estate client

Hey Dumb SEO Questions Community! Wanted to ask a dumb question on a taboo SEO topic I couldn`t find much info about online - what`s the best strategy for SEO when dealing with a Real Estate client?How can you outrank Zillow, Redfin, Trulia, etc. when they show up for even local/long-tail searches? Curious to hear some of your strategies as I offered help to a buddy in Real Estate and realized I hadn`t touched this beforeThanks in advance!

Tim Capper: Not entirely sure about US - but I guess those are 3rd party listing sites correct.

In the UK, we turned the tide for 1 client by not duplicating the property listing.

All aggregators got the same details, whilst we published unique property details on own site + kept the better for own site.
Jake Carsh: Correct! Very interesting about avoiding the duplicates - I hadn`t thought of that before. So essentially all third-party listing sites got almost identical info but you amped up the content for the client-specific site? Did you do any work for the site, not just for listings? Like for things to do in any local communities to target people just searching for something in the area?

I think right now I need to do some research on search intent for the KW they`re trying to target & what people are actually searching to find these properties. Many thanks for your answer, Tim!
Tim Capper: The site, we ramped up massively on location based content + guides to different localities.
