Search Result: index or no-index?

when running ppc campaigns for large eshops I use queries and filters to make specific landing pages. If for seo purposes the client has disallowed the indexing of search queries (searches performed on eshop) the site loses the organic benefits-signals for these pages? I noticed that many sites are ranking well for pages that are queries and not categories due to ppc campaigns

  • Michael Martinez: It is a best practice to use separate landing pages for PPC and unpaid search keywords. By blocking the PPC landing pages via "robots.txt" or using "noindex" directives you can prevent organic referrals from diluting your PPC analytics data.
