New url is not seen in search engine

  R.Gopi Krishna: Hello friends this time my doubt is on page crawling in google search engine. Recently I added a service in my company site “ CADD Services” At first the page had url of www (dot)isolvetechnologies(dot)net/computer-aided-designing-drafting/ but due to some reason I changed it to  ;www(dot)isolvetechnologies(dot)net/cadd-services/ after some days I still see the old url indexed in google search engine but still the new url is not seen in search engine. To confirm I even did site colon search ( site:www dot isolvetechnologies dot net) but unable to see my new url but I can my old url twice. Can you pls help me in this. ?

  There's nothing I can see to prevent your new URL being indexed, it could be a matter of time.
  You could try to speed things up to use Google Webmaster Tool "Fetch as Google" and then "Submit to index"; that way you might also easily spot any potential issue.
  
  using the site: operator I see your old URL only once. The page returns an HTTP 404 Not Found response code, I suggest you changing it to an HTTP 301 Permanent Redirect so that the search engines would transfer it's "juice" asset to the new one.

  R.Gopi Krishna: thanks federico old url doesnt have much of link juice and have already done fetch as google. For your information in site  ;operator you can see the url in 3rd page & 5th page.  ;And finally yesterday i have update my sitemap.xml. Will that help ?

  Federico Sasso: "fetch as google" of the new URL and then "submit to index" is the quickest way in my experience (it basically permits to skip the crawling part), but yes, an up-to-date sitemap helps, besides there are other search engines to benefit it, as long as they know where the sitemap is (hint: listing it in the robots.txt file)

  Blade S: When you modify an URL, the first thing you need to do is to use a 301 redirect from the old one to the new one.
