  Casey Markee: Personally, I`d do the following: 1 - noindex all archives. I very seldom find them generating ANY traffic when doing audits. Also, view the "Top Pages" report in Google Search Console - are those pages generating traffic? If not, NOINDEX them. 2 - Yes, you can have multiple markup languages on the same page. I run into this all the time in the Recipe Niche. We want to markup in JSON but Pinterest still doesn`t support it so we have to also provided back-up functionality in Microformats.   Webado C Webada: I always noindex archives of all kinds. At least for Wordpress, because it`s possible. Other platforms, it would be desirable but might not be possible.

  Webado C Webada: The expert on structured data markup is Grace Massa-Langlois in the Webmaster Central. The only thing I`ve ever used was basic event markup and that`s on a static site that`s been on indefinite hiatus for years, so those events have dropped into the the distant past. Otherwise I have no use for structured markup on any site I have.
