I`m trying to get the backlink of a site

I need an insight from the professional in the house;If for instance , i`m trying to get the backlink of a site e, g www.xyz.example.com, i tried to use link:xyz.example.com but later realized it has been deprecated by google. Is there any other techniques or tools i can use to get over this? need your suggestions.

Dave Elliott: Out of interest has anyone seen an updated ahrefs vs majestic vs ose since the massive update?
Alan Bleiweiss: Not yet. I am curious though. And have started my own comparisons.
Mike Gracia: ahrefs, majestic, semrush (esp. if you tie-in a majestic account). They`ll all give different results, so run across multiple if possible, then merge & de-dupe :)
