I want my google mybusiness page move up in the rankings

I helped a friend start a business and have his normal web domain pointing to a google business page. With reviews he has seen more calls for business but I was wondering if there was a guide you recommend that has proven useful in helping move a google mybusiness page move up in the rankings. Things like adding more pictures, posts, etc within the mybusiness page. Does anyone have experience with toying with it and seeing results seemingly based on the changes made?Thanks.
