  • Perry Bernard: So many things to check, but my question would be: is the traffic you lost from a specific country, did that traffic deliver conversions for you, and if not, do you really care that it’s gone? If it did drive value, then you need to check GSC for indications of issues.

  • Jamie Slack: Perry Bernard seems to be down for pretty much everything. Its very hard to pin point a specific source. What is the best way to check for issues using gsc?

  • Perry Bernard: Jamie Slack drop in indexing of pages, drop in rank off converting keywords vs non converting ones, slice by country, slice by device, quite a few more. Be hungry to investigate...

  • Evan Wilder: What`s your website?

  • Jamie Slack: Evan Wilder My website is https://jksastrology.com/ created by me. I also do my own seo. I have made some design changes to my website. I suspect some kind of google update is damaging my ranking. But, i just don`t know how to figure it out.

  • Evan Wilder: I`ll look into it. My expertise is more into growth marketing but I`ll also see what growth and SEO can do to grow your website.

  • Evan Wilder: So, your website layout looks outdated. It could be that people are not staying on your site and your Time on Site is ranking rather low. Google prefers sites to have a good UX and yours don`t have it.

  • Jamie Slack: Himanshu thank you

  • Christine Hansen: What does GSC and your SERP say?

  • Jamie Slack: Christine Hansen gsc and google analytics both show sudden decrease in overall website traffic.

  • Christine Hansen: Jamie Slack That sounds great - more customers then?

  • Christine Hansen: Jamie Slack Like the drawings on the front page - but 224 kb is a lot to download for some mobile phone owners. Id also SEO the file name "JKS-Astrology-header-6-1200x480.jpg" and because it is a drawing I would save that in PNG, instead of JPG. PNG is for line art, and JPG is for photos. After a compression test, I could cut off 100 kb of that image. Speed might have something to say in regards to organic ranking in your situation.

  • Christine Hansen: Jamie Slack Oh you just changed increase to decrease.

  • Jamie Slack: Christine Hansen thank you.
