Dumb SEO Questions

How can I study all impressions or clicks?

I am working websites for 6 very small very local businesses. Webmaster tools report fewer than 1000 impressions a month for most of them.

Webmaster tools also usually only displays fewer than half of the impressions and less than a quarter of the clicks.

Is there any way I can find out what the rest of the impressions or clicks were for??

  • Jon Tromans: If I understand correctly your impressions are different in WMT than your stats package which would be right.

WMT impressions under search queries counts the amount of times you have appeared in Google search listings, clicks are people clicking to your site.

If you're stats package reports impressions these could be page views which would include direct traffic, hits from other search engines and social media. The total will be larger.

    Hope I've understood correctly :)
