GA tracking code on 301 redirected page

If an URL is being 301 redirected, will browser still try to execute the GA tracking code(or GTM snippet) on the page? if so, would GA, GTM still register pageview for that URL?Thank you, everyone, any thought will be appreciated

  • David Kutcher: If a url is being 301`d that happens on the server level before the page is served, hence before the tag script.

  • Michael Martinez: It will if you use HTTP meta refresh redirects, which many affiliate marketers use for their referral codes.
