  Juchel De Leon: In my own perspective, test/exam for seo can be amazing and also not that easy (based on my experienced), but if you pass the seo level test for either "up work" formerly "odesk" or whatever kind of freelance websites out there, that would be good or perhaps great for your stats, however those numbers are not the measurements and may not perfectly define accurately how good or great a person is in this industry.

  Dave Elliott: For me the question with these kind of tests is does anyone recognise it? I.e. Will the fact you are freelancer.com certified get you any extra business?
  
  If the answer is no, then do all the learning as that will obviously be of benefit but honestly, who cares about the bit of paper.
  
  Google certifications are worth having (i should probably do that) but even if the likes of moz or distilled offered certificates no one outside of the industry will have much of a clue as to who they are!
