  • Pawan Pawar: Can anyone help me to identify what kind of Google algorithmic penalties we have? I can share the link, please help. Thanks in advance.
  • Juchel De Leon: may I?
  • Jim Munro: Let us see the (disabled) link, +Pawan Pawar ;. :)
  • Jim Munro: Mate, you have a great site but it is needlessly translated in twenty languages with no hreflang in sight, all pages say it is supposed to be en us.

    You have every page canonicalised to the home page. I reckon if you take that off or canonicalise every page to itself your site might rebound.

    This is bad for all pages except the home page: ;<link rel="canonical" href="//www.aalpha.net/"/>
  • Juchel De Leon: I agree with +Jim Munro ! Also dude, watch out you might have duplicate contents on your sites! Check that aspect also!
  • Martino Mosna: That's no moon penalty! It's just a bunch of technical issues, just like +Jim Munro ;pointed out :)
  • Pawan Pawar: +Jim Munro ;Thanks for the advise, we have already removed the translator and ;canonical to homepage, let me know if any thing else on the website, in the past we had manual penalty applied and now it isnt there, we have tried to remove all the un-natural links, we did manage to remove few and rest were disavowed, but there was no improvement on SERPS. ;
  • Pawan Pawar: +Juchel De Leon ;Thanks, I have looked at that as well, some of our content is plagiarized, we are trying contact the web masters without much luck. ;
  • Juchel De Leon: Recovery can take a lot of time and effort! Good Luck!
  • Pawan Pawar: +Martino Mosna ;Thanks, we are looking into technical problems, highly appreciate your help, if you see more problems, please feel free to advise us.
  • Nevyana Karakasheva: In regard to the sites you've mentioned that republish your own content: there used to be a scraper report that you could send to Google, but unfortunately and interestingly enough the form is no longer live: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Pw1KVOVRyr4a7ezj_6SHghnX1Y6bp1SOVmy60QjkF0Y/closedform  ;
    Nevertheless, if you feel that some competitors of yours take advantage of your content, you could still report the abuse/spam to google: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport  ;
    On the other hand, when disavowing backlinks to recover from manual penalty, you actually dissociate your site from references that actually boost it in the search results. Thus full recovery after disavowing links is hardly possible. New link earning campaign should take place as to “reenergize your site” and to reclaim your good rankings.
     ;
    + Invest in content: I saw your last 3 posts in your blog – they sum up to a couple of sentences followed by a link to the full articles on massive sites like like techcrunch. I am not sure how you plan to rank for those pages and why you create them at all – those are useless. Instead, if you are to refer to given news, retell them yourself in no less than 600-800 words (the lest).
     ;
    Good luck!
  • Jim Munro: Pawan's site is ;www.aalpha(dot)net
