Canonical links juice

Hello! I want to make sure I`m understanding canonical links correctly. Let`s say I post an article on my blog (Site A) and it gets syndicated by a bigger site (Site B) with a canonical link back to my site. Another site (Site C) links to the article on Site B. Does the link juice from Site C`s link to Site B flow to my site (Site A)?

  • Paul Thompson: Yup. :)
  • Michael Martinez: Maybe. Canonicals are just suggestions. And you should never assume that any specific link will pass the value you expect.
