Can I expect my site ranking higher after some years?

I run a small business with my website and I started the SEO 03/2020. The site started to rank higher around summer and I have got more like the same amount of clicks since. I checked my main competitors site and he had similar numbers in the first two years and after suddenly he got 4 times more traffic on site according to SEMRUSH. I think my site is better optimised than his website. Is it that much important that his website is several years older than mine? Can I expect my site ranking higher after some years? Thank youThat`s my site by the way:

Semrush is not a substitute for real analytics data. You cannot trust any of these 3rd-party tools` traffic estimates.

You need to focus on what is happening on YOUR site. That is the only site for which you can get real, reliable TRAFFIC data. Use Bing Toolbox and Google Search Console, Google Analytics, server-side analytics, and any analytics your monetization tools provide you.

    Rankings mean NOTHING.

    Focus on TRAFFIC and CONVERSIONS.

  • George Lesko: Michael Martinez Thank you very much I focus more on Google Serch Console and analytics. I`m trying to improve my site time to time do you think ageing is a strong ranking factor for a website?

  • Michael Martinez: George Lesko Only indirectly, provided you publish content on the site and earn links for it. The algorithms need time to learn about your site.

  • Stockbridge Truslow: When I put in your entity name (which Google does understand) you don`t even rank #1 for yourself. Your facebook page is first, some very slow site I can`t tell what it is comes next, and even one of your YouTube videos is outranking your site. I imagine this has some link profile issues, but I`m not going to do an analysis there - let`s just look at the page/site for a moment....

Your home page has no focus - it`s all over the place. FAQs, a list of every car ever manufactured, and poor English like things which read "Are you repair car keys?"

Meanwhile, every other page - based upon what it says in the menu is Key Replacement Key Replacement Key Replacement.

You have irrelevance all over the place... This blog post is called "Car Key Cutting" - but it starts off talking about some Japanese Lockpick tool that you use to break into the cars. Now... sure... I realize you get to it later, but the headings and the content don`t line up with each other.

You have pages in the menu called "Ferrari Key Replacement" which then goes on to say that you can`t actually replace them - but that you might be able to repair them. So... what exactly are you hoping to rank that page for? Something you can`t do?

You`re using semantic elements (like h6 tags) as style tags.

Your breadcrumbs don`t match the structure your nav gives the site so Google won`t know which one to trust - if any.

You have 12 areas covered listed in your menu, but when you go to the "Areas Covered" page - there are only 10.

There`s not just one problem here - the whole thing is generally set up using 20 year old spamming tactics - not SEO tactics, modern or otherwise. Kill off all the keyword spam. Say what you mean. Label things accurately.

Hopefully if you work on those things over the winter, you can start to see some turnaround come springtime. I hope the above doesn`t sound too harsh, but... hopefully it is something you can take and work on to make things better.

    Good luck!

  • Rienzi Mosqueda: Here`s what your home page heading situation looks like:

Welcome to Oak Auto Locksmith Our Services How much does it cost to replace car keys? Can an auto locksmith copy my key? Can a locksmith make car keys without the original? How do I get a spare key for my car? What happens if I`ve lost my only car key? I replaced the battery on my remote fob. After that, it won`t start the car. Have I used the wrong type of car key battery? I can switch the ignition on, but the engine won`t start. Do I need a mechanic or an auto locksmith? What additional service can you offer? Can you change the style of the key? If I ask for a quote for a new key, is the price include the remote? Can I get my key cheaper if I want it without a remote? I have a working key, but it has a fault or the remote stopped working. Are you repair car keys?

    - I suspect this is the case in most of your pages. There`s a disconnect with the topical intent that you want your pages to rank for. - Each topic is related to each other but not every topic is relevant to each other.- For your home page you should focus more on mentioning your brand in these headings- I would have you run a full audit to really understand why you`re growth isn`t as much as your competition. Domain age is not all other is to it.
