This is what WMT ( Webmaster tools) tells me on the test site
Accelerated Mobile Pages > Missing schema.org NewsArticle metadata
Add a valid schema.org NewsArticle structured data element to your page. Google requires an AMP page to define the schema.org NewsArticle structured data element in order to show the page with AMP-specific display features?

Will a webpage not a news article still be indexed for mobile searches?
