Two duplicate pages on different domains

Guys, my local service based biz straddles 2 areas.would it be possible to have one link serve and point to 2 different pages - effectively dupes with a search and replace on the location names.based on area, so
browser sniffs london go to page x and if it sniffs essex go to page b hope am making sense" if so how hard easy is it? also, will google punish the site for having 2 duplicate pages - apart from the different location names the rest of the copy will remain the same

Tim Capper: Have two location pages - but make them unique to the area, dont duplicate content.

If they are that close together, detecting users location will be problematic and you would not have desired effect.
Alan Whitton: dammit1 trouble is its the same service exactly, just served for e diff location. would a word spin, rewrite be enough? havent researched how to manipulate geo location tbh

Brian Klein was correct. You can write a bit about the specific location. You can also write about the area. How you arrange all that is key.
