Sorry for asking a ton of questions today, but, do you guys know if you can you use schema review markup for review sites and what would that markup look like? "Product review (5 stars) product = name of product being reviewed"?

  • Alan Bleiweiss: I think I know what you mean here Chase - a site where the main purpose of the site, is to provide reviews of other products or services out in the world. In that case, the answer is YES, Schema can be used. Except it`s a nuanced implementation. Use schema.org/Review for the review itself, and schema.org/Rating for the rating given with that review. Note though that there is no Aggregate Rating in this scenario though. You can also use schema.org/ItemList if you have a list such as "the top five best _____" or "the bottom X worst _____" type posts or pages or articles as well.
