How to get Google to index your page as fast as possible

Hello, a dumb question: When you create a new blog post in your Wordpress blog, what do you do after that in order for Google to index it as fast as possible, so that no one steals your content? Do you add the URL here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url or adding every single new URL here is not a good idea?

Neil Cheesman: Each post can be `pinged` to the major search engines... (a basic setting in Wordpress) once the website is established posts can get indexed within seconds.. otherwise Fetch Submit...
Jim Munro: Not sure that Google+ is still on the air but I would rather spend my time adding the domain to Google Search Console and then using the "Fetch as Google" feature to download the url and then select the "add to index" option.
