Monitoring Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics

Good day,

May I ask what specific things to monitor in Google Webmaster and Goolge Analytics?

I will be having a report for my boss but I only know 40% functions of these tools.

Tim Capper: I think the question should be, what do you want to monitor, what is important to you, what do you want your website to be doing for you.

Webmaster Tools:

HTML suggestions >> which you can correct
Crawl >> Any problem pages, server problems
Search Analytics >> download monthly and get an idea, of what search terms you appear for and average position

If there is a drop, you can investigate

Analytics:

There is a lot to consider, based upon what you want to know. I would think about using a dashboard for the minute.

Check the Google Analytics Solutions Gallery, download what you want, this will give you a handy dashboard of what you may want to see, it will probably trigger some questions and then you can add to the dashboard
