  • Perry Bernard: The SEO methodology is the same irrespective of the product, but it sounds like this would work well on social channels where the target market hangs out. That isn’t SEO, it’s marketing.
  • Maja Jovančević: SEO is probably a wrong choice for a single brand ecommerce store. It`s gonna be expensive and your competitors are on apps, social media, retargeting, affiliate... Make the website functional from the tech side and do paid
  • Ben Kharakh: Partner with IG. Youtube, and TikTok influencers. For the latter, create a challenge that can be recreated by everyday users. I`d scope out SoundCloud to see which artists are trending but haven`t popped as much on Spotify relative to others in the genre and see if they might be up for partnering too.
  • Michael Stricker: Affiliates use SEO and capture appropriate audiences while you build brand and your owned visibility. Lifestyle domains matching the interests and activities of your target audience become a platform for Display while you create and distribute useful, entertaining content that links back to you.
    Lists, comparisons, enthusiast blogs
Your own domain builds a prominent and easy way to collect user stories, photos of product in use— User-Generated Content is more persuasive to shoppers than your own bragging.
  • Richard Hearne: People saying this is marketing, this is social.media... if you`re tasked with doing SEO there`s not much point in telling your manager you want to do marketing , social media etc. People making these comments likely show they have no experience.

To the OP, international SEO is difficult and expensive. Hence why few experience it. It spans across technical with you CMS/website implementation, to content (translation and keyword research), and right through to link building strategies. The first place you probably want to start is the foundational technical area - getting the basics right. Here`s where you can also look at geotargeting and language targeting. As you progress you can look at keyword targeting, and integrating SEO with translation workflows.

It`s far from easy, and generally very expensive. Whether it`s right or not for your particular client is another question altogether.
