Having a lot of similar-sounding domains

NEED HELP: Hi, I just want to ask my client was under the impression that having a lot of similar-sounding domains was somehow useful for SEO. They have registered a lot of domain names related to our business. Should we put landing pages on these domains to help SEO or drive traffic to our main site? How will it affect SEO? Not sure if this is ethical or some black hat technique. Any recommended strategy on how we can leverage these domains? Thank you in advance!

  • Jeremy L. Knauff: No, don’t put these up as sites. Focus your efforts on one site.
  • Ansherina Lim: They are all new and do not have content. Will it harm the current SEO? Is this black hat? Sorry, wasn`t really sure how to explain to the client. 😅
  • Perry Bernard: Ansherina Lim it`s not black hat really. It`s more just a waste of time that should be focused on one site. You can`t drive traffic from those sites because they have no traffic. To make them earn traffic, you have to put effort into their SEO as well. So you end up doing SEO on how many websites? This might sound appealing to you to sell as an idea, but all it will do is waste the client`s time and investment on an illusion of doing SEO. There are probably examples of doing this well, but not from fresh, brand-new, zero value domains.
  • Fikri Anugrah: Ansherina Lim if you want to do some kind of black hat tech you can do or hire PBN services but i wouldnt recommended either because everything have a risk! You can get penalty from google And google doesnt like it. Some of people in my country do that. So think about it again

P.S i think you have to focused on the main domain and do the white hat, black hat is to risky and not good 😅. If my advise is not allowed please delete this admin 😃
  • Joshua David Tobler: Could you 301 them to your main site?
  • Jim Munro: What would be the benefit of this given that they are all new domains?
