  Alan Bleiweiss: Without a proper audit, it`s all a crap shoot to figure out why. Having said that, we can`t even begin to help assess possible answers without knowing the site in question. Jim what`s the policy of this group regarding this type of situation? I assume it`s okay for people to submit their site in these cases, so we can look, as that`s what I recall others have done - is that correct?

  Jim Munro: It`s a work in progress, Alan Bleiweiss, but we have been letting most go through lately and the sky has not fallen in. I`ve just replaced "Please also disable links to your site when describing issues or responding to requests for your URL." with "Please do not spam." in the FB Group description.

  Roma Alloui: When talking to clients, I always tell them speed is extremely important because it improves user experience and customer retention, increase conversion rate and profit. So if you don`t want to boost speed for SEO, then do it for the sake of your users/prospects/customers.

  Jody Nesbitt: that page is 14 seconds for me from Belfast, although not a big rank factor, it still is, and in a micro niche it will be more visible, also, have you researched the phrase? Seems to me, something like Business Signs, Outdoor signs - things like that would be more relevant, I`d consider adding more variations to your text as well from different variations, you have an H1 with your keyword, but no H2, consider adding a couple, eg: WHY SHOULD WE PROVIDE YOUR SIGNAGE? could be WHY SHOULD WE PROVIDE YOUR SIGNAGE IN MANCHESTER?

  Alan Bleiweiss: I am away from my computer at the moment however my first questions after an initial look are: 1. Is that the only page on the site focused on Manchester? 2. Do you have a physical location in Manchester you can list, and then place in Google and other quality location directories? 3. Are the image names and alternate text attributes optimized to reference their placement in Manchester? 4. Have you looked into adding customer reviews to your site, where you can show their name, and that they are from Manchester? 5. What plan do you have for off site visibility? Jim mentioned just one link. That is nowhere near enough.

  Neil Cheesman: page doesn`t load `correctly` for me.. css issue - a split second of flash/sidebar... personally I would move the images from the homepage - maybe just have one - Your favourite - and then have the images laid out in a gallery etc... AND possibly add text as to the location etc... you mention "FREE QUOTES" - THE first thing I want to know is how exactly to I get a free quote? I would have a call to action RIGHT THERE>>>>
