Hi everyone, we`ve got a little business website. It was not ranked very well, but it was ok. On our website we have a page, where we sell some Jquery plugin developed by us. This page is not listed in menues, its a separate page, located on our main domain. www.mysite.com/plugin.html. Several monthes ago our main site disapeared from google search on all relevant keywords (pages still can be found with site:www.mysite.com). Now i`ve realised, what can cause the problem. We`ve got about 500 backlinks to our main domain. But there is an url of plugin page in a comment in a JS code of plugin. Someone has installed our plugin on a big online shop and ve`ve got about 35000 backlinks to the plugin page! I think, now google thinks, everyting else is irrelevant on our page. Can it really be a problem? And what can we do the best?
I`ve tried to remove plugin backlinks wit disavow, but in about 2 weeks only several hundreds from 35000 backlinks disapeared. It can take years for all backlinks to disapear with such a speed.
So, once again, questions:
1) Can so many backlinks to irrelevant page make google think, this page is the main one? Or maybe google have applied some kind of ban?
2) What can be done?
