I targeted India but I am promoting worldwide

I have my website abcd.com in english language. In google search console I targeted India but I am promoting worldwide. Now I want to promote specific one product in Spanish countries so a) may I buy Spanish domain for that particular product? or b) On my existing site I can add spanish language product? Note - If your answer is ( b) then I already have english language product in existing site so is it fine having two language product on same site?

  • Michael Martinez: You can use hreflang on the page for the product you`re promoting in Spanish to indicate to the search engines that it`s targeting a different region. You can also specify that in an XML sitemap file.

But you might find it easier to strategize around two different domains.

  • Ammon Johns: In lots of markets, people will specifically look for their localized ccTLD, so there is sometimes a lot of argument for opening a specific domain for that specific market. However, there`s also a lot of extra consideration to running multiple domains, and generally enough people are happy enough with buying from a .com TLD that often a global TLD is a better all-round option.

Which of those is true in any one specific case is, obviously, going to depend on all of the specifics. Either way can work. Which one may be slightly better for the specific product, market, and company, varies.
